Phelps Picnic in the Park

The Northwoods Living Care Foundation Picnic in the Park event is on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 from 5-8pm at Wavering Park.  Burgers, brats, hot dogs or pulled pork and potato salad or chips will be available to purchase at $7.00 a plate.  Kids 10 and under can get a hot dog, chips and juice at no charge.  There will be live music, face painting and games at no charge for the kids, and raffles. The fire department volunteers will be selling soda and beer.

Cathy Grady, foundation president, said, “The foundation board wants to show the community that we appreciate all the years they  have supported our picnic by keeping the plate costs down this year and no charge for the children 10 and under.  In the over 20 years that we sponsored this picnic the foundation has collected over $200,000 for the town of Phelps Emergency Medical Fund which in the past has been applied to new ambulances and equipment.”
